Having great respect for African Art and including its sculpture and textiles amongst my greatest influences, I proudly present my new works on grass mats, “Textures”. I began painting on grass mats over ten years ago, utilizing both ink and acrylic paint to create simple African figures that stood over four feet tall. As my skill has developed over the years, the “Textures collection” has matured and currently showcases an array including small, elaborately detailed designs that celebrate African masks and paintings on papyrus, portraits and over-sized still life.
